The Associate Nursing Director, Stead Family Children’s Perioperative/Procedure Services is responsible for developing and overseeing the clinical and business operations for all surgical/perioperative/procedural services delivered at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital as define. This includes the SFCH operating rooms, Prep/Recovery departments, Pediatric Cath Lab, and Pediatric Procedure/Radiology Suites. The Associate Nursing Director will work to foster a team effort to provide efficient quality care and support for all patients while embracing the organization’s culture, mission, vision, and values.
Additional responsibilities include the development and optimization of staff and the promotion of the Magnet Nursing culture and Nursing Excellence programs. He/she will focus on process improvements, clinical outcomes, budget management, staff development, and will role model service excellence throughout the organization.

This nursing leader will have a dual reporting relationship reporting to the Senior Director Nursing Services, Perioperative Division and the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, SFCH.
