Analyst, Asset Management 

Based in New York, NY the Analyst will be reporting to the Vice President, Asset Management. This role will support QuadReal’s U.S. portfolio consisting of Residential, Industrial, Office and Alternative assets, and execute asset strategy plans and to enhance value, increase returns and position the assets and the portfolio for growth. This position will also require close collaboration with Valuations, Global Portfolio Management and Regional Investment teams working on a variety of projects and critical initiatives.

As an Analyst, Asset Management You Will: 

  • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive asset strategies including, leasing & operations, property improvements, capital budgeting, development, risk management and hold/sell analysis
  • Assume and maintain cash flow and valuation models for ventures and properties, lead cash management oversight and planning, monitor financing activities, track capital call and equity commitments and assist the asset management team in partner communication and reporting
  • Work closely with joint venture partners, property management and leasing teams in approving annual budgets and business plans, driving operating performance, approving and executing lease transactions, expense management and capital planning
  • Aggregate asset management data and prepare in conjunction with Portfolio Management monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for clients and senior management
  • Monitor venture and property performance for compliance with annual budgets and business plans and prepare quarterly updates on asset performance, including progress on strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Regional Investment teams in the due diligence process for new investments and asset dispositions regarding underwriting assumptions (market rent, rent growth, expenses, lease recovery structure, etc.)
  • Prepare and contribute to investment committee approval memos, hold/sell recommendations and other investment decisions in conjunction with the Investment team
  • Travel to assets to meet with onsite property management teams, brokers, tenants, and strategic partners

Your Background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline with strong academic credentials and a passion for real estate
  • Minimum 1+ years experience in the real estate industry, preferably in asset management. Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex investment issues and developing and executing investment strategies to achieve results and mitigate risk
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets. Demonstrated aptitude manipulating large real estate portfolio and asset level data sets. Adept at synthesizing large quantities of information for concise executive level reporting and risk management
  • Strong in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Applicable experience with cash flow modeling, data dashboard creation in Excel and Power BI. Proficient in Argus and market data provider applications such as MSCI, CoStar, RealPage Market Analytics, Moody’s/REIS, Green Street etc preferred
  • Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment, with the ability to take guidance and move projects forward independently

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $95,000 to $102,000.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
