The Sensor Hardware team is responsible for design, development and test of reference sensor systems for NVIDIA products and platforms. We are seeking a Camera System Integration Engineer to work on sensor integration and packaging in engagements with field and technology teams for groundbreaking applications such as Autonomous Vehicles and Robotics.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work closely with system design and perception teams to understand camera assembly requirements and proactively suggest diverse integration alternatives.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to prototype camera packaging tests on Automotive and Robotics platforms, which involves in coordinating the development of test prototypes, leading all aspects of test procedures and defining data analysis processes.
  • Drive the review of the internal and customer test reports with key internal partners to ensure a conclusive assessment to align across on performance metrics and pass/fail criteria.
  • Gather requirements into design tools, track updates systematically and maintain clear change request records to facilitate effective communication and robust sign-off process.
  • Identify areas for improvement, optimize workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and uphold the highest quality standards.

What we need to see:

  • Proficient with Python and experience using 3D software for image simulation.
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Optical Sciences, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of proven experience with sensor integration into deployed products, must have experience in full product lifecycle from concept through production.
  • Deep understanding of the imaging system performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of image relevant components such as windshield and headlight systems.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a multifaceted work environment.
  • Fast learning and proven problem-solving skills.

The base salary range is 128,000 USD - 247,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
