This role is for a data and applied scientist on the Bing Travel team. We are building a world class Travel solution spanning the whole spectrum of user's travel journey. We are looking for strong data scientist with a background and passion for generating experiences and features to power the best of web Travel solution. 

This travel solution spans across multiple canvases and the role involves understanding user intent, history and making customized experiences, based on recommendation, leading with great image, video, and virtual experiences, and providing insights drawn from analytics. Our experiences are seen by millions of users per day today and we expect to keep growing that significantly to create useful and personalized insights at web scale. These span across the whole spectrum from travel inspiration, destination exploration, planning trips, booking, and experiencing stages. Our Bing India team comprises of highly motivated engineers, product managers and data-scientists building end-to-end web-scale and enterprise-scale AI systems. 1. Develop strong data science solutions and data engineering pipelines to support personalized experiences and recommendation system.
2. Own complex features/user stories and deliver them with the highest quality exemplifying role model behaviors.
3. Deliver trustworthy and differentiated experiences to Travel users on Microsoft canvases 
4. Develop product using Azure and travel related queries for exploration/planning/booking travel journey powered by Bing query traffic. 
5. Fundamentals: champion and set example in security, supportability, usability, performance, accessibility of the product. 
6. Features: plan, design, develop and deliver multiple end-users facing features as data scientist.

Required Qualifications: 

• S or M.S in AI/ML/Statistics/Computer Science or related analytical fields
• 7+ years of professional Data Scientist experience.
• 2+ years of professional Data Engineer experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in handling large datasets.
• 1+ years of professional experience designing and developing software or services.

Preferred Skillsets and Experience: 

1. Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving skills 
2. Good communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills.
3. Passion for new technologies, learning and adapting quickly, end user quality and customer satisfaction. Prior experience in solving customer problems through Statistical Modeling, ML, Deep Learning and GenAI / LLMs.
4. Programming or scripting experience leveraging industry standard ML and Data Science libraries in Python, C# etc. 
5. Strong expertise in Python programming and one/more of the Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch, MXNet, TensorFlow, Keras).
6. Ability to both use existing libraries (ML, DL, RL, NLP) and design algorithms ground-up.
7. Able to prepare data pipelines and feature engineering pipelines to build robust models.
8. Experience in building ML based off-line / on-line recommendation system is highly desirable.
