What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Team for this position?

The candidate is a domain expert and responsible for design, development and implementation of various applications in the area of large scale worldwide Colgate e-Commerce Operation and provides support.

The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.

The person should have the ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.

What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team?

We are excited to invite applications for the position of DevOps expert within Our Advance Tech, Architecture & Analytics Team. Operating within the world’s leading Oral Care Company, we are demonstrating leading cloud based marketing technology to digitally connect. This role will support our team in deploying best in class technology to optimize and expand our digital engagement programs leading to better targeting and engagement with our professionals, customers and consumers. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team to help realize our vision. The ideal candidate is very customer focused and can work well both independently and within a team. Candidate needs to be a self-starter- eager to learn and use new technologies to build the best digital experience for our customers.

Who are you…

You are a technical architect -

  • Understand and apply information technology standards to daily support and project implementation activities
  • Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to tackle highly sophisticated business processes and procedural problems
  • Design and automate CI/CD stack, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and logging
  • Work with developers and release management to craft and implement delivery pipelines
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Implement and improve automated testing solutions
  • Maintain production systems reliability through accurate utilization of GIT standard support and governance processes
  • Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA
  • Deliver solutions to solve business requirements considering priorities and resources availability

You connect the dots -

  • Ensure the accurate use of information technology project management methodology to comply of information technology governance practices
  • Ensure accurate documentation of processes, knowledge acquisitions and transfers
  • Conduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes
  • Bring the innovation and external experience in processes such as deployment, cloud services and micro services, analyze the system performance etc.

You are a collaborator -

  • Collaborate with business and functional teams, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project
  • Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components
  • Participate in architecture design and implementation of infrastructure monitoring, security, and scaling solutions

You are an innovator -

  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancement. Adapt to these changes by self-training and research work
  • Identify and explore new opportunities to demonstrate new technologies to improve the Platform

What you’ll need…(Required)

  • Over all 7+ years of IT experience and min 5 years as DevOps or equivalent experience
  • Familiar with code deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, and Chef)
  • Good command of software-automation production systems (Jenkins, Selenium, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of Java, Javascript, or Python and known DevOps tools like Git and GitHub
  • Experience working with container based framework - Kubernetes, developing manifests and crafting docker images
  • Experience in network, server, and application-status monitoring
  • Have solid understanding of databases and SQL (Structured Query Language)
  • Experience working on Agile/SCRUM development teams

What you’ll need…(Preferred)

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and services (GCP, AWS, Azure etc.)
  • Experience managing infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
  • Certification in DevOps is preferable
  • Self-starter eager to learn new technologies and have the ability to consider security implications in their designs
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically to identify and communicate root cause
