The Attorney Recruiting Marketing and Communications Coordinator is part of the Attorney Recruiting team and reports to the Senior Manager, Attorney Recruiting Marketing. The Attorney Recruiting Marketing and Communications team is responsible for promoting Wilson Sonsini across all offices and practice groups to audiences of future attorneys and patent agents, including law students and potential lateral hires. The ARMarCom team manages all communications of the Attorney Recruiting team, including the Careers website, Careers social media channels, print and digital collateral, multimedia content, content on outside platforms such as Vault and Chambers, promotion of firm job opportunities, and public relations such as talking points and media appearances. The Senior Manager also leads the firm’s brand building efforts with law schools, some aspects of the firm’s alumni program, and other projects as necessary. ARMarCom team strives to constantly improve upon our work, to identify and work toward process improvement, to provide counsel and support to the entire AR team and to the attorneys and other staff of the firm, and to provide excellent experience and results to everyone with whom we work.

Position may be tied to any of Wilson Sonsini’s offices or may be fully remote. If tied to one of the offices, must be willing to go into the office as needed to help with events and other work of the AR department.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day administrative needs of the Senior Manager, including data entry, maintenance of systems, digital asset management, scheduling, financial processing
  • Intermediate graphic design work
  • Social media and website work, including planning and drafting content; working with photo, video, and audio content; website editing with CMS
  • Planning, supporting, and executing brand building events such as campus visits, audio and video recordings, and other opportunities, including with VIPs and across multiple time zones
  • Research, data entry and management, and data analysis for marketing, communication, brand building, and alumni purposes
  • Work with other members of the AR team to provide excellent service
  • Potential opportunity for short and longer format writing assignments if other work is successful and skill is demonstrated
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required
  • Occasional travel may be required

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 1+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent performance of administrative responsibilities
  • Ability to manage many projects and tasks at a time
  • Interest in working with many kinds of people and comfort working with senior attorneys and other busy and important stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Bridge
  • Knowledge of Canva a plus
  • Knowledge of Word Press environments a plus
  • Video editing experience, especially for social media, a plus
  • Knowledge of law firm environment, law school environment, and/or legal profession a plus
  • Substantial responsibility and creative development will be available to those who prove themselves

The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto, but other locations are also listed. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows:

San Francisco and Silicon Valley: $35.96 - $48.65 per hour

Austin, Boston, Boulder, District of Columbia, Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Seattle, and Wilmington: $32.28 - $43.68 per hour

Salt Lake City and all other locations: $28.60 - $38.70 per hour

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
