Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Operations and Technology group is looking for a Principal Network Engineer - Application Delivery and Compliance with deep and broad knowledge across network and application delivery technologies to lead lifecycle, auditing, and compliance for NBC’s global network infrastructure. The successful candidate must have experience reviewing network compliance and audit deliverables including data management standards, network hardening guidelines, and Cyber security standards. The successful candidate must be able to work across the organization with Cyber, Compliance, and Audit peers to lead projects to ensure NBC’s global network infrastructure meets all security requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years of experience within Network Engineering
  • Experience managing reporting and dashboards for overall network infrastructure to ensure hardware and software lifecycle is visible and managed in accordance with requirements.
  • Expertise in Enterprise Application Delivery infrastructure, infrastructure load balance and Distributed application technologies.
  • Experience with Process Automation and Product Life cycle management
  • Extensive experience working with Internal Audit and Cyber teams to define, develop, adjust, and documentation of compliance related network infrastructure requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Experience managing regularly scheduled audits and reviews with all appropriate teams to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and report on network infrastructure compliance from various tools and data sets.
  • Experience providing executive level reporting and communication on strategic initiatives and audit status.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Cisco CCIE/ F5 Certified Solution Expert/ Palo Alto Network PCSAE/PCNSE Certified or equivalent experience
  • Experience with development of ServiceNow CMDB Workflow and Processes, API and automating workflows.
  • Strong experience with vendor management, OEM platform and software review and Bug Scrubbing.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and help integrate security measures into the deployment process.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
