WSP is currently initiating a search for a Maintenance Technician for our plant in Questa, NM. Be involved in projects with our Mining Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. 

Your Impact

  • Perform preventive and corrective process equipment maintenance on pumps, valves, instruments, tanks and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective mobile equipment maintenance (skid steer and other mobile equipment).
  • Perform light and medium duty truck (pickup truck) and trailer preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Operate skid steer to perform grounds maintenance, including snow removal on a seasonal basis.
  • Operate heavy mobile (construction type) equipment to perform maintenance at on site facilities such as buildings, ditches, roads and culverts, as needed.
  • Perform grounds maintenance and weed control at the building grounds and at remote influent water collection locations.
  • Assist the operations staff troubleshooting equipment failures.
  • Assist the maintenance supervisor with the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) database by creating accurate workorder entries. 
  • Work with and assist maintenance subcontractors and equipment inspectors.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of industrial equipment, light duty truck and mobile equipment maintenance experience.
  • Ability to obtain a 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPPER certificate and/or current certification.
  • Ability to safely operate and drive a company vehicle.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to support the project in an off-duty on-call status to respond to plant maintenance needs in a rotating status arrangement.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times per day.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs and on unimproved areas of the site several times per day.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in operating a skid steer and other heavy mobile equipment, especially in performing snow removal in close quarters around buildings.
  • Experience with CMMS.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $20.72 - $27.50

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
