SUMMER SEASONAL - ACTIVITY LEADER

Synopsis:

If so, you might be the perfect fit to showcase New York as our Activity Leader for EF International Language Campuses. We are an international language school located in Tarrytown, New York that offers English learning programs to students around the world and of all ages.

The Role: 

Activity leaders support the Activities department in leading events, providing great customer service to our student population, assisting our students by getting them involved in activities that we offer, and being an outgoing and vivacious guide to New York City, and Westchester County. This position also asks the applicant to help with administrative tasks, reception desk coverage and constant interaction with our students. The activity department revolves around a monthly activity calendar that showcases all on and off campus activities that activity leaders will run/chaperone. Some examples of exciting activities the activity leader will lead include Local Tours, Broadway Shows, Arts and Crafts, Karaoke Nights, Sports Games, NYC Skylines such as Top of the Rock, just to name a few. 

This position is a part time seasonal position with an estimated start date of May 28th, 2024, until August 31st, 2024. We are flexible with the start and end date, but this is the ideal range for those interested in working with us this summer!

Requirements: 

• A confident and friendly personality 
• Outstanding customer service and critical thinking skills 
• Must be dependable and professional as they represent the EF brand
• Great communication skills
• Candidates must successfully pass a criminal background check 
• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must hold a valid US passport or have a permit to work in the United States without EF sponsorship
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and/or holidays as needed

Those applying for the position must have flexible hours (20-40 hrs./wk).

Earnings: 

• $16 per hour

Benefits of the Position:

As an Activity Leader at EF International Language Campuses in New York you can receive free room and board, depending on availability. Private room is not guaranteed. In addition to this, you will receive an hourly wage for all your assigned shifts with overtime available. Paid sick time is also available based on accrual rate for time worked.
