Senior Manager, Yield Insights - Walmart Connect

Walmart Connect is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our digital Yield Insights team in our San Bruno, CA, or Los Angeles, CA offices. We are looking to expand our team to provide increased focus on how we share the data, numbers, and insights the larger Yield team develops. We are looking for someone who will synthesize complex data to create clean and concise presentations that can be consumed and understood by all levels of experience. We are looking for someone with a background in quickly comprehending advanced data models and simulations to create visually appealing, well-crafted narratives that drive results across the organization. You will grow out the team and working to upskill the Yield team.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, papers, and deliverables to ensure Yield strategy and recommendations are understood and implemented.
  • Provide strong team leadership and associate development for the Yield Insights team to grow the team, increase performance and provide excellent service to the teams we support.
  • Establish team goals and vision, working directly with the team to execute, measure progress, and share results and successes.
  • Partner closely with Sales Strategy, Revenue Operations, Business Operations, Marketing, Product, Sales and Client Services to ensure Yield findings and results are producing the desired results and reflecting the needs of the business.
  • Represent Yield in strategic conversations around revenue maximization, providing data-driven insights and context for new or improved ad products, changes to policy, and ad product and revenue strategy.
  • Build productive and positive relationships across the organization at all levels to drive influence.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and inspire a high-performance team of Yield Analysts and make them the best data storytellers!

What you'll bring:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Finance) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong management consulting background in a technical industry (such as Digital Media, Online Auction, Programmatic) or comparable experience - 10+ years of experience preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in quantitative or data analysis/data science.
  • 7+ years of Digital Yield or Digital Ad Operations working experience with an understanding of advertising KPIs.
  • Experience creating and utilizing multiple machine learning-based tools to develop models and algorithms to mine large datasets, validate data and model accuracy, and analyze, recognize, and interpret trends.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM and AdTech systems (Salesforce, GAM, Freewheel, etc.) required, and experience with Ad Network/Ad Exchange/DSP/SSP preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, manage, lead, and mentor a high-performance team, with 5+ years of direct People Leadership experience.
  • Fluency in the language of digital media and online measurement: impressions, CTR, CPMs, STR, Fill rates, unique users, page views, visits, viewability, demo comps, etc.
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, advertising metrics, inventory forecasting and the concepts and technology associated with digital advertising.
  • Experience with data science programming languages (Python or R), and experience with SQL and relational databases (for example Hive, Big Query) a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and often lack of clarity, demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and executing deliverables in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive outlook.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
  • Stock equity incentives
