Title: Temporary Agricultural Worker

Job Description:

Field and Research Support:

  • Perform application of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers to research plots in strict accordance with Manager’s instructions and application protocols.
  • Assist in performing identification of invasive pests to determine appropriate pesticide application strategies.
  • Using appropriate tools and equipment, assist in performing pruning, nursery digging, stool bed harvest, land preparation, planting, cultivation, irrigation, trellis construction, destruction and maintenance, bee/bird netting application and removal, and high tunnel construction/maintenance.
  • Assist in performing land preparation by discing, plowing, planting, cultivation, irrigation and plastic mulch application/removal.
  • Track field operations with work orders, time, materials and other records as required by University.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This is a temporary full time, 39 hour per week position with an anticipated end date of September 13, 2024.

Salary:

$18/hour
