Job Description

As a Product Manager, you will work closely with gaming or digital content partners to utilize Universal IPs in developing game products. You will be responsible for monitoring the game production process at all stages, ensuring quality, progress and game content remains consistent with the original IPs and fully leverages its potential.

  • Help partners gain a deep understanding of licensed IP and movie worldview, assist partners to better combine gameplay and IP, and find a balance between gameplay and IP brand management
  • Collaborate closely with gaming or digital content partners to devise and execute game production plans and milestone schedules, ensuring on-time delivery and quality standards.
  • Communicate and collaborate with HQ and local team (Production/Creative/Marketing/Franchise/PR/VO) throughout the game production process, including providing organized assets and detailed context for content reviews.
  • Serve as a content supervisor, reviewing game design, storyline, and dialogue to ensure consistency with the essence and standards of the original IP and story.
  • Play game builds to test technical stability, game mechanics, user flow, and ‘fun factor’.
  • Understand business requirements of project and adjust game development strategies accordingly to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in game production
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to build and drive effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of game development processes and be able to effectively solve problems and tackle challenges with proactivity, creativity and agility.
  • Have in-depth understanding of China gaming market.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills in front of global stakeholders and external partners.
  • Must be able to travel. The role will require extensive travels across Greater China and/or international trips.

Desired Characteristics: 

  • Having successful project/product experience will be preferred.
  • Strong interests in film and IPs, with the ability to understand and reflect the essence of the original IP.
  • Self-motivated professional with ability to work with team spirit
  • Experience of working in an international environment will be preferred
