Job Description

As a Data Scientist on the Hyper-Personalization team, you will collaborate with other Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Analysts to create automated self-learning algorithm frameworks to deliver highly targeted and individualized experiences for our customers across multiple channels. You will support the build out of a Decision Engine, using multi-arm bandit approach, and various reinforcement learning concepts as part of your day to day. You will work with multiple channels within Vanguard, ranging from Contact Center to Web/Mobi. This role is pivotal in driving the development and execution of AI/ML strategies, such as Reinforcement Learning, to build automated self-learning algorithm frameworks across multiple channels.

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and business partners to develop and implement advanced AI/ML concepts, such as Reinforcement Learning, for personalization.
• Development of cutting-edge automated self-learning algorithm frameworks to deliver highly targeted and individualized experiences for our customers across multiple channels.
• Take accountability for the successful build, deploy and maintenance of underlying models supporting the hyper-personalization pillar, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
• Mentor develop and serve as a steward for Data Science within the Hyper-personalization team. Foster close partnerships with ML Engineers, Data Scientist and Analyst to drive synergies and successful project outcomes.
• Prepares and delivers insight presentations and action recommendations. Communicates complex analytical findings and implications to business leaders.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 6+ Years of experience in Data Science space, with a minimum of 2 years working on advance concepts such as reinforcement learning.
• Experience in designing, developing and deploy AI/ML Models at scale.
• Strong understanding of real-time data architectures and model deployment processes, including experience with cloud AI/ML platforms such as Sagemaker, Vertex AI, Azure, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong business partnerships.
• Experience working with streaming data and technologies such as Kafka, Adobe CDP, API services, etc.
• Deeply familiar with and first-hand experience implementing MDP algorithms such as Multi-Arm Bandit, Reinforcement Learning, etc in the context of personalization for marketing and other areas.
