Position Summary

FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications team is seeking to hire a communications practitioner to join an ambitious and growing team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate should have a proven ability to both service client companies on a day-to-day basis and contribute to new business development. The candidate should also have a strong interest in developing a strategic approach to communications, excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to help manage junior team members as a collegiate team player. The candidate should be mature, results-oriented, and prepared to learn and utilise new approaches to communications as part of a leading global communications consultancy business.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day management of corporate communications for global, regional and local client accounts.
Proactively offer strategic counsel to existing and prospective clients.
Work with a highly motivated team in the Hong Kong office as well as the firm’s regional and global network.
Work with senior management to provide input towards the development of the firm’s strategic direction in the market.
Lead the creation of strategic business development proposals, and strategic solutions to clients’ needs and challenges.
Provide input for the Hong Kong office’s marketing and promotional activities in Asia.
Manage and mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

Fluent and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Analytical thinking and advisory skillset.
Experience providing strategic counsel to global, regional and local businesses and their c-suite.
Experience in finance services and public affairs, and media relations preferred.
Crisis and issues management experience.
New business development skills (lead generation, research, strategy, proposal development, etc.).
Ability to work independently, while also leading client teams.
A collegiate approach to working in a diverse team across the Asia region and globally.
