As a Project Manager at IQVIA in the Data Transformations & Engineering group, your primary responsibility will be to strategically manage IT projects across European countries which involve development and maintenance of ETL pipelines, which ingest, standardize and transform medical data into analytically ready standards.

In addition, you will be responsible for developing relationships with business stakeholders, exploring new initiatives as well as creating business cases. You’ll actively collaborate with various development and support teams across the organization, clarify and prioritize the requirements coming from the customer as well as actively manage emerging risks, issues and change requests.

What you can expect in this role:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define solutions/new features meeting business requirements while ensuring alignment with long-term strategy and priorities. 
  • Manage data processing projects including: scope definition, efforts estimation, project timeline preparation, budget control, definition of project acceptance criteria etc. Maintain change log and risk board.
  • Define and own all functional, technical and non-functional requirements ensuring appropriate prioritization against business objectives, architectural guidance, internal compliance requirements or requirements coming from dependent teams/organizations.
  • Maintain and develop relations with business stakeholders in different countries; look for new project opportunities 
  • Regularly provide project status on development progress, budget status and emerging risks and issues to both external and internal stakeholders. 
  • Work closely with the development and supporting teams within the larger organization
  • Create clearly defined tasks for the development team, assign priority against business objectives 
  • Monitor data and analytics product performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides for data and analytics products.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Maths, Economy, Medical or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working with IT development teams on building solutions with strong quality, cost effectiveness and process standardization 
  • Fluent in English – written as well as spoken 
  • Data analysis and data modelling knowledge is an advantage
  • Knowledge / Experience in utilizing Agile / traditional Project management methods/frameworks (certifications like: Scrum Product Owner, Prince 2, PMI or similar).
  • Proven ability to perform a broad range of activities without guidance, with significant personal autonomy, delivering sustainable value-added outcomes in a range of contexts.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in working in Azure Cloud 
  • Experience working with technologies like: Cloudera, Oracle, HDFS, Apache Hive.
  • Experience with population health data (EMR/LRx)
