Big Data Engineer - 48988
We have an immediate long-term contract opportunity with one of our key clients for a position of Big Data Engineer to work in Sunnyvale, CA
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support scalable Big Data applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data promptly.
- Utilize Hadoop technologies and Big Data processing technologies, including Spark, YARN, HDFS, Oozie, Hive, and Airflow.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes, feature engineering, and data processing technologies.
- Demonstrate expertise in Spark Engine, Spark, and Scala.
- Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in resolving complex issues.
- Utilize knowledge of Data Analytics, PL/SQL, and NoSQL.
- Work independently to learn and adopt new technologies.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of overall experience.
- 4+ years of experience building scalable Big Data applications.
- Proficiency in Hadoop technologies and Big Data processing technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Spark and Scala.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams.
- Passionate, team player, and fast learner.
