Job Description

As the Area Lead Engineer for Product Program Management, you are responsible for the product program portfolio method and managing complex cross cutting initiatives including; technical activities, new product development, implementations and coordination of different product teams, and domain areas and their activities during the initiative lifecycle. The job will also have a large focus on building on the talents within your team and leading them to success. You create a basis for decisions as well as facilitating the backlog in different areas and business operation functions over the whole setup. You will in this role play a big part in setting the roadmap and timeline for HMs move to GCP, coach and guide Program Manager in balancing their capacity between do "enough on current gen" and still have a steady phase in moving into the "new". 

You will play an important role in setting the foundation and shaping our future organisation, while continuously learning and growing. 

Furthermore, you will: 

  • Lead, manage and execute large cross-cutting and technology projects (programs), involving a large number of teams 
  • Lead initiatives cross Domains, Units, Areas and Teams, as well as with business stakeholders to drive joint initiatives, requiring synchronized backlogs and activities 
  • Responsible for planning and aligning with business functions, coordinating both with regional stakeholders as well as program stakeholders, ensuring alignment on dependencies and timelines 
  • Takes responsibility and accountability and drives planning and resolution, providing key stakeholders with timely statuses 
  • Lead various product initiatives while delivering other cross-functional projects and ensure coordination across areas (where necessary) 
  • Communicates with various stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and tasks to ensure the overall success of the program 
  • Develop a thorough understanding of business processes and technical issues 
  • Enable continuous improvement during projects, ensuring learnings are documented and shared with other tech teams 
  • Manage stakeholders effectively 
  • Continuously improve the cooperation between the product teams with other stakeholders at H&M and in the Business Tech organization
