Senior Analyst, Media Campaign Insights

GTB is looking for a smart, digital media savvy senior, possessing innate curiosity and a collaborative nature. This role will focus on Campaign Insights and Optimizations, holistically analyzing paid, channels and content. The qualified candidate will be part of a talented team of analysts in conjunction with a cross-functional team to improve digital marketing campaign performance, but also able to operate independently in developing and delivering their work. Please note this role will be based in Toronto but will serve our US team.

What you will do...

Measurement planning and strategy

  • Act as the Media Optimization Lead, partnering with team members from various disciplines (Account, Strategy, Creative, Technology, Production) within the agency and the client to optimize and provide near real-time insights for individual campaigns.
  • Works as the Analytic Lead to provide counsel to various disciplines (Strategy, Account, Creative, Technology, Production) and clients on how to employ statistical analysis to improve marketing results and maximize profits of client customer bases; Define business logic to drive marketing campaign design, including experimental design with multiple test and control cells.
  • Work with internal team and various partners to ensure tracking for measurement needs and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness.

Reporting and analysis

  • Identify data definition and quality issues and help provide appropriate resolution; Utilizes preliminary and final reports to optimize future marketing initiatives; Be able to create a concise theme and story in analytic deliverables when necessary; Improve upon existing project deliverables to allow for more efficient and timely delivery to clients.
  • Ongoing analysis of initiative performance; provide data-driven optimization recommendations

Methodologies and processes

  • Stay in communication with internal team to ensure understanding of learning objectives and strategies
  • Develop hypotheses, test designs, business cases and customer data requirements; Identify data definition and quality issues and help provide appropriate resolution.
  • Help evolve measurement methodologies and technologies
  • Visualization of new and existing projects or campaigns to make client deliverables more insightful and efficient.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing of best practices and conclusions from market analysis or tool and measurement discovery to the analytics group and other team members.

What your prior experience consists of...

General Requirements

  • Experience analyzing media data to inform decisions
  • Familiarity with digital marketing, especially content marketing
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Takes initiative to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Understanding and communicating measurement feasibility in a creative environment
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and cross-functional teams
  • Proactive and able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment

What it takes...

  • Undergraduate Degree, Master's Degree Preferred in Advertising, Communications, Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics
  • 3+ years of experience in either/or Marketing (CRM/Direct Marketing, Digital Media, Website, Social Media, Search Engine Optimization), Advertising, Automotive, Financial, Market Research, Pharmaceuticals.
  • Highly Proficient with digital media analytics reporting suites, Google Analytics, DoubleClick,, Experience with Digital Ad Technology (Ad Servers, DSP, Bid Management Platforms) a plus within Digital Media team.
  • Highly Proficient in Excel and Pivot Tables and able to show junior team members.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and able to show junior team members.
  • Digital experience preferred.
  • Power BI is a bonus.
  • Have physical and mental requirements to meet the above listed job responsibilities.
