Intel's Network and Edge (NEX) Technical Product Marketing and Developer Relations team is looking for a developer marketing director who is passionate about AI Inferencing and helping application developers build optimized AI inferencing (often computer vision or GenAI) solutions. Our team is focused on growing the developer ecosystem that uses the OpenVINO inferencing software toolkit (used across the industry) as well as other edge-centric software products across a diverse set of industries.

OpenVINO has grown since its launch in 2018 to be a leading AI inferencing toolkit for developers on Intel processors, used by hundreds of thousands of developers today. In addition, new software products are being launched that provide platform level capabilities for developers. We need a candidate who understands the developer ecosystem, the uniqueness of developer marketing as a practice, and has experience engaging corporate/global marketing - with all of the processes and scale that this brings. The role requires a rare blend of both technical and marketing skills, led by someone who can build their strategy and lead the cross-functional team through execution of it. Responsibilities entail, but not limited to:

  • Work with engineering, product management, public relations, developer evangelism and campaign marketing to collaborate and strategically align their efforts.
  • Lead a team to drive the messaging and positioning process and developer expansion strategy for our AI and Edge-focused developer tools.
  • Create developer-specific marketing content, including blogs, web, videos, presentations, sales enablement and press releases.
  • This is at times a customer-facing role where you will explain Intel's Edge AI strategy and roadmap.
  • Some travel may be required for trade shows and conferences.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, Data Science, or equivalent with 12+ years of related experience
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in developer relations, or developer marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience presenting to technical audiences and writing content for developers.
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred
  • In depth knowledge of software architecture and applications
  • 5+ years of experience in project management and planning skills
  • 5+ years of Hands-on experience coding with AI software frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenVINO or TensorRT

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$162,600.00-$284,620.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
