Redwood Credit Union is looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist II who will be responsible for executing and deploying marketing campaigns, emails, and landing pages that support The Redwood Group’s strategic initiatives. The role requires technical skills including HTML and CSS. The Digital Marketing Specialist II acts as key digital marketer to establish KPI’s and strategy that will ensure the growth of digital marketing efforts and handles other marketing assignments for Redwood Credit Union (RCU) and its subsidiaries.

Essential Functions

Online Marketing

  • Administers email marketing campaigns; tests and analyzes workflow, lead generation, lead nurturing and lead scoring; and identifies tactics for improvement using single send email and marketing automation software.
  • Support the creation of email marketing campaigns, including the creation of high-quality promotional email designs based on knowledge of responsive design, layout principles, efficient coding and aesthetic design concepts.
  • Test emails and address design problems whether they be HTML/CSS or graphics.
  • Liaise with the marketing team to ensure successful deployment of responsive marketing emails and campaigns using our email platform.
  • Support company website including new landing pages and updating existing web material.
  • Deploy brand identity standards and take a leadership role enforcing compliance.
  • Establish, track and report on standard campaign metrics to optimize.
  • Responsible for project management and coordination of a wide variety of marketing and communication efforts such as marketing campaigns, advertising, online marketing, website graphics and marketing content, outbound marketing emails, newsletters, and retail marketing for The Redwood Group.
  • Drives web, mobile, Online Banking (OLB), and other online platform Marketing efforts and RCU’s brand image within those mediums.
  • Monitors search engine rankings and provide reports to department and other internal stakeholders. Also monitors keywords, terms and competitor activity, on social media sites, industry message boards, and leading search engine sites. Recommends goals for each channel. Accesses data and performs detailed analysis to make quantifiable decisions on plans and tactics.

Department Support

  • Acts as a primary project manager/coordinator for promotions and projects. In this role, is responsible for developing and communicating marketing program description plans and executing projects.
  • Acts as a key player in maintaining the integrity of the Redwood Group’s brands, ensuring effective and consistent use of the names, logos, and other representations of the organizations both internally and externally.
  • Identifies key target marketing techniques and works closely with the department staff to ensure effective use of data, enhanced decision making and target marketing. Ensures the protection of Members’ confidential data.
  • Performs quality control of materials, including proofreading and assists with quality control and proofreading tasks and other marketing support as requested.
  • Provides excellent service to Members, Officials, management, staff, agencies/business partners and community contacts. Ensures positive relationships with a diverse group of people.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and skills in online marketing and practices including website design and copy, mobile marketing, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), outbound email techniques and practices including HTML experience, responsive design and CSS.
  • Solid working knowledge of email strategies to effectively drive consumer engagement on the website.
  • Deep knowledge of Email Best Practices and CAN-SPAM compliancy considerations
  • Experience with Cost Per Click (CPC) and Cost Per Action (CPA) models/efforts.
  • Experience with web analytics and campaign management tools such as Google Analytics.
  • Familiar with social media and has working knowledge of the following sites including but not limited to Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Places, YouTube, Wikipedia, Content Management Systems and blogs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and marketing and communication skills including writing, copy writing, oral and presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have strong command of the English language including grammar and punctuation.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Strong working knowledge of HTML, responsive design, CSS, marketing automation, databases and target marketing; Marketing Customer Information File (MCIF) experience a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in related field required, and 3-5 years of experience. Certifications for online and mobile marketing preferred. Bilingual/Spanish speaking abilities a plus.

Compensation: base starting range is $37.00 to $49.00 per hour commensurate with experience.

Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity.
