ASML brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. ASML has developed metrology equipment (YieldStar) to integrate with our existing lithography equipment and control loops to enhance the manufacturing capabilities. Those control loops run on our proprietary software on a Virtual Computing Platform (VCP).
As an ASML Applications Engineer – Factory Automation you are responsible for introduction, maintenance, upgrade, and overall support of the VCP/LCP and its’ associated control loops and diagnostics that run on the platform. You work with closely with applications to further customer testing, and control loop qualification. You provide technical support, and are responsible for the necessary transfer of knowledge to the customer on this platform.
Our main headquarters are located in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we also have nearly 20 office locations around the United States. The holder of this position will be based in ASML Boise (ID, USA), reporting directly to the on-site Applications manager. You’ll have peers in other sites that work in a similar position and will serve as your reference and knowledge resource.
