MediaMonks is looking for an Data & Insights Analyst to join our team from Jakarta and help drive initiatives across new business and our stable of clients. In this position you will drive qualitative and quantitative research, conduct trend and insight desk research, manage relationships with external research agencies, and develop high quality, unique insights to inform decision making for a large international client with a rich history in Indonesia, as well as new business pitches. It’s an opportunity to work on a brand with 90%+ awareness that is repositioning and aggressively pursuing growth. 

In the Data & Insights Analyst position, you’ll connect the (data) dots to come up with clear client-friendly narratives of opportunities, hypotheses, issues, etc. As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for uncovering insights in new business pitches, as well as planning and implementing learning programs for existing clients, monitoring results and finding ways of optimizing marketing efforts from a social media point of view. This is a role where you’ll partner with Client, Strategy and Creative teams from all over APAC, reporting to our Data Insights Director in KL. Additionally, our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on new opportunities to learn new skills. 

In this role you will: 

  • Support Research Objectives: Assist in developing research plans that align with internal and client goals, under the guidance of the Data and Insights Manager.
  • Execute and Manage Reporting: Lead on the creation of reports for social listening, audience analysis, post-campaign performance, and other research projects.
  • Data Analysis & Insight Development: Analyze data across platforms to extract actionable insights, inform strategies, and contribute to creative briefs.
  • Presentation of Findings: Prepare and present findings in a clear, concise manner to stakeholders, ensuring insights are accessible to non-technical audiences.
  • Industry Trends & Social Listening: Conduct ongoing social listening and trend analysis to keep strategies current and informed.
  • Post-Campaign Analysis: Lead on analyzing campaign outcomes against KPIs, providing insights for future strategy refinement.
  • Secondary Research & Trend-Spotting: Engage in comprehensive desktop research to support strategy development and identify emerging trends.
  • Audience Profiling & Segmentation: Utilize research tools to create detailed audience segments, aiding targeted strategy development.
  • Digital Marketing Support: Assist in setting KPIs, executing, and analyzing social media campaigns across platforms.

Technical Requirements:

  • Social Listening & Analytics Tools Proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools like Meltwater, Brandwatch, or similar for social listening and trend analysis.
  • Data Visualization Skills: Capable of turning data into clear visuals from data (e.g. Google Sheet Data Visualisation Tools).
  • Digital Analytics Tools: Experience with social media analytics platforms (Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, YouTube Analytics). Added value if familiar with Google Analytics for website analytics.
  • Segmentation Tools Experience: Skilled in using GlobalWebIndex (GWI) or similar for audience segmentation.
  • Digital Marketing Platforms: Understanding of social advertising campaign execution and optimization across various platforms.

General Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years in a research, insights, or data analysis role, preferably within a digital agency or marketing environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical Mindset: High-level analysis skills with a knack for identifying patterns and insights from data sets.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, supporting strategists and account teams effectively.
  • Eager Learner: Keen interest in digital marketing trends, influencer marketing, and continuous skill enhancement.
  • Native Bahasa Indonesia speaker and strong in English. Any additional APAC languages are a big plus.
  • Initiative: Eagerness to innovate and achieve excellence, spearheading world-class work through constant initiative.
