Responsibilities:

Modern Technologies Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Engineer to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) in traditional and non-traditional Special Intelligence (SI) in support of Special Operations Forces (SOF) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR). A successful candidate should be a proven problem solver with the ability to lead teams and deliver superior results as part of a high-profile, fast-paced environment. The position requires a strong understanding of AFSOC enterprise-wide missions and activities against advanced adversary technologies. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who possess initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Essential SETA functions will include but may not be limited to:

  • Managing, reporting, and executing current and future ISR technology pathfinding, discovery, engineering, testing, and integration activities.
  • Conducting SI testing and/or operational assessments/evaluations.
  • Gathering and aligning theatre and operator requirements to potential technology acquisitions.
  • Maintaining regular engagements with research laboratories, government agencies and industry vendors to ensure the customer is knowledgeable of available cutting-edge capabilities.
  • Supporting funding strategies to develop or acquire solutions aligned to known operator capability gaps.
  • Reporting to leadership on effectiveness, reliability, and mission compliance of potential new capabilities.
  • Transitioning new capabilities into programs of record.
  • Maintaining overall knowledge of and stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to generate clear, concise, and intuitive presentation of results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and reporting practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Documenting engineering activities, creating/understanding schedules, and making recommendations to the leadership and team.
  • Working as a trusted, strategic partner with the customer by delivering actionable insights about emerging technologies as well as with technically minded external partners.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, physics, or related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum ten (10) years SIGINT experience from an operational and programmatic perspective in support of AFSOF ISR.
  • Skill in networking among multiple Intelligence and Cyber and SOF communities.
  • Experience with DoD Acquisition Lifecycle experience and/or Rapid Acquisition / Rapid Delivery experience.
  • Knowledge of the AFSOC organization, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can accomplish high-level tasks independently, and works well with other team members and customers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master of Science Degree in technical discipline.
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of SIGINT experience in support of AFSOC ISR.
  • Minimum four (4) years of Tactical Systems Operator (TSO) or Direct Support Operator (DSO) experience.
  • DAWIA Level II or higher certification(s).
  • Strong desire to keep technical skills current and remain abreast of emerging technologies and methods.

The ability to interface with all levels of project management, end users, and OEM vendors is desired. Above average oral and written communication skills are required. Exceptional planning and coordinating skills are also required.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. For this particular position, an active Top Secret security clearance, with a current background investigation is required
