Job Summary:
We are seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. This is a unique opportunity to help build a brand from scratch! The Content Marketing Specialist plays a key role in our team and will be responsible for the timely creation, delivery, and quality of all marketing content. The Specialist will collaborate with cross functional departments, subject matter experts, and the Digital Marketing Specialist to write, develop, and optimize content that effectively positions our products and brand within the transit industry.
The Specialist will strive to create compelling content to support omnichannel marketing efforts and will contribute to customer education and case study formation, white papers, internal and external communication, and other written communication as needed. In addition to content expertise, the Specialist may contribute to projects such as industry conferences and events or campaign management.
Job Description:
Core Responsibilities
- Partner with relevant subject matter experts to develop firm foundation of product knowledge; maintain active grasp on industry trends and conduct meaningful research to aid in calibration of marketing strategies
- Produce all marketing content required to target specified personas and develop compelling messages to drive response; create user case studies and sales tools in conjunction with end users and sales team
- Develop editorial governance of content to ensure consistency with branding presentation and messaging
- Partner with Sales and Marketing Director to establish and monitor performance metrics; work with team to adjust strategy and execution
- Develop and manage editorial calendar and oversee relevant activities to ensure timely completion
- Contribute to event organization and campaign creation management
What You Bring to the Role
Education
- BA/BS in marketing, communications, or relevant field
Knowledge
- 3+ years’ experience in producing high quality marketing content based on industry knowledge and targeted customer audience research
- 2+ years’ experience in project coordination with increasing responsibility
- Proficiency in common martech tools such as Canva, HubSpot, or Marketo; experience with project management software (i.e., Asana)
- Proven portfolio of work showcasing content writing skills in a B2B marketing environment
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and compelling content; ability to turn complex information into digestible, engaging content
- Possess a high attention to detail with an eye for brand and messaging consistency
- Ability to effectively communicate and manage expectations of internal and external stakeholders; demonstrated desire to build strong customer and vendor relationships
- Ability to self-motivate and work well independently while also being willing to contribute within a dynamic team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing content within the SaaS/technology space strongly preferred
- Knowledge of transportation industries a bonus
Work Environment
We are a hybrid-remote workplace combining in-office and remote work to varying degrees based on role requirements and employee location. This position may involve occasional travel within North America to participate in trade shows, collaborate with team members and attend professional training and development sessions.
