Overview

The Investment Consultant - Latin America and US Offshore is responsible for building and maintaining business relationships with US-based financial advisers who provide service to non-resident clients. As an internal wholesaler, the Investment Consultant (IC) will work closely with external wholesalers to proactively market and solicit the firm’s cross-border fund offering to the Offshore broker-dealer and bank segments based in the US. The IC’s primary assigned territory is US-based Offshore advisors; however, the IC might periodically support inbound phone and email inquiries received directly from financial intermediaries based in Central and South America. The IC will spend a significant amount of time making proactive sales calls, presenting product ideas while also providing support to financial advisers over the phone. This position is based in Miami, FL. 

What you will do: 

  • Build strong knowledge of the international financial adviser base to partner with external wholesalers to execute the sales strategy for the US Offshore territory, and achieve and exceed established sales goals. 
  • Cultivate relationships with financial representatives via phone contact. 
  • Become versed in Natixis' cross-border funds and their competitive positioning to proactively call financial advisers and educate, motivate, train and convey sales and product ideas to them. 
  • Actively call on targeted business partners to follow up on external wholesalers’ meetings and appointments and to ensure that they have the tools, information, and resources necessary to maintain Natixis client assets and gather future business. 
  • Promote, invite, and host financial advisers to key Natixis events and track potential leads. 
  • Refer leads to Natixis US domestic Sales Desk to facilitate cross-sales when appropriate. 
  • Handle incoming phone calls and emails, requests for product information, and raise issues in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Effectively work with internal research, marketing, affiliate relations, operations, and product teams in order to coordinate research reports, marketing pieces, meetings/calls with affiliates/Portfolio Managers, and obtain information to service existing assets and gather new ones. 
  • Assist the LATAM/US Offshore sales team with the product and sales strategy decisions by generating competitor analysis using internal tools and coordinating the production of key analytics by the research team 
  • Use Natixis International’s CRM tool to track and document client and prospect interactions, and identify sales from financial advisers to assure that they are properly assigned and recorded. 

What you will bring: 

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field 
  • A minimum of 1 year of prior financial services experience; sales or client service experience preferred 
  • Basic understanding of mutual funds and the financial services industry 
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to deliver persuasive, concise and well-organized presentations and messages 
  • Excellent listening and probing skills 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment 
  • Proactive approach 
  • High level of integrity 
  • Limited US travel may be required (<15%) 
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 63 licenses required within 6 months of hire 
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is strongly preferred.
