Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Italy is currently seeking applicants for Senior R&D Product Development Engineer to join our growing Vishay. In this position, you will work in the organization of Research and Development and you will be responsible for new process development to apply to new Products release. This is a senior role with the opportunity to create real impact within the organization and build a promising career.

Job Location:

Vishay Semiconductor Italiana spa is site focused on the design, development and production of power diodes and power modules. There are around 300 employees currently work in Borgaro Torinese Italy. This number is constantly growing due to our expansion plans.

What you will be doing:

• To research and design new products, especially related to Silicon Carbide power devices.
• To validate new designs, processes, and materials through testing, experimentation, and evaluation.
• Work with process developers and manufacturing to adapt Design to available technologies.
• To support operations to improve costs and yields on existing products and processes.
• Act as project leader on new product development, coordinating X-Functional Teams and following new product development from concept to production release.
• Document required aspects of the innovation, including updating design rules and DFMEA.
• To follow new product development from concept to production release To work with foundries to adapt transfer process recipes and technologies.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor’s, Master, PhD degrees on Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience/PhD on SiC Silicon Carbide Power Semiconductor Processes and technology.
• Overall experience on Silicon Semiconductor Fabrication Technology.
• Knowledge of Statistical Data analysis and related software (JMP is preferred)
• TCAD Simulation skills on power semiconductor devices, especially SiC related
• Strong Attitude to Teamwork
• Good presentation and networking skills.
• Ability Project Management for to coordination a multi-disciplinary team taking advantage of the potential of the various teams and thinking in a continuous improvement way.
