IT Infrastructure Administrator

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a IT Infrastructure Administrator in our Ahmedabad, India location to support our

global business, and as such, will need to be fluent in the use of the English language and possess exceptional communication skills both verbally and in written form.

This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support, co-ordination and resolution of mission critical IT systems including VMWare ESX, Hyper-V, O365, MS SQL, MS Windows 2019/2022 and Linux based operating systems. The candidate must ideally be MS and Linux Certified with advanced working knowledge of these systems and be extremely confident in their design. In addition, the candidate must possess, advanced working knowledge of company Firewalls, Switches and be able to support an SD Wan topology.

Key Duties: 

  • Maintain Microsoft Server 2019 environment (AD, DNS, DHCP, Print Server(s), File Shares) 
  • Document and support the company’s virtual infrastructure.
  • Document and support critical systems such as SCCM, Intune, O365, Windows Active Directory.
  • Document, and support data security (DLP/Azure IP, SharePoint, MDM) and recognize broader global data regulations. Provide advanced technical support for all infrastructure related issues.
  • Scope and lead projects, train users on complex topics, make presentations to the wider team and interact positively with upper management.
  • Assist where possible the junior level 1 and Level 2 IT, to bring swift resolution to ongoing incidents.
  • Automation and streamlining of existing IT processes.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • The following certifications desired: CCNA, CCNP Fortinet NSE4, Windows MCSE/Microsoft Expert and VMWare VCP.
  • Requires 6 - 9 years of Windows System Administration experience within a mid to large size company. 
  • Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM, including processes surrounding Asset and Config Management, Change Control, Knowledge Management, Incident Management helpful.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be assertive and able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to work unusual hours when needed.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.
