About the Role

The Senior Manager of Accounting Revenue will report to the Global Controller and will be responsible for all aspects of the end-to-end revenue cycle, working closely with the FP&A and Billing teams to ensure that revenue is accounted for properly. Critical to the success of the role is the ability to analyze, understand, and be able to explain revenue movement as part of the month-end financial close. To work closely with the FP&A team on revenue variance analysis, assist with ongoing forecasting, and during the annual budget process. To work effectively with other cross-functional teams, including Client Partners, Revenue Operations and Legal, as the revenue subject matter expert. 

This role includes responsibility for the management of the Collections team, setting KPIs and goals to ensure effective cash management and to continue building a high-performance team, as well as managing collections policy across the organization.

This is a hands-on role, and we are looking for someone who has excellent problem-solving skills and who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support our continued success and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly revenue close and ensure that all adjustments and accruals are recorded correctly within local entities and on the consolidated financials.
  • Prepare and review monthly revenue-related analyses.
  • Manage the Collections team to ensure goals are met.
  • Review sales arrangements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards.
  • Maintain the company revenue recognition policy and draft technical memos as needed.
  • Advise and assist in the setup all new product’s revenue recognition rules and ensure the rollout of new products is supportable on the financial systems.
  • Work with the Financial Systems team to improve process and system efficiencies, and ensure systems are compliant with GAAP standards.
  • Support and guide the billing team to ensure correct order processing and revenue-related setup, and manage issues related to revenue recognition.
  • Review and respond to requests/inquiries from other cross-functional teams including Legal, FP&A, and Client Partners regarding revenue transactions.
  • Assist annual audits related to revenue and billing.
  • Support new system implementations and integrations. 

Requirements

  • A CPA in good standing with a minimum of 8-10+ years of proven work experience in financial operations, managerial accounting, Big 4 audit firm, or a related finance field. 
  • Proven people management experience.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition - ASC 606
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the company.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • A plus, if previous work experience includes Netsuite and Salesforce experience.
