Position Details

Information Technology & Security, Enterprise Solutions, at The University of Tampa has an available position for a Workday Integrations and Solutions Architect. This role involves interfacing with various enterprise technology and infrastructure systems at The University of Tampa. Additionally, the position will serve as a key resource for maintaining and enhancing the many different facets of Workday. Two essential components of this are: the development, implementation and maintenance of integrations between Workday and other systems; and being a key player in the integration security best practices and governance structure of UT's cloud enterprise system, Workday. Additional duties may include assisting the UT campus with the adoption, use, and optimization of Workday Student configuration and reporting. As a Workday Integrations and Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing integrated solutions within the Workday platform. This position requires a deep understanding of Workday architecture, business processes, and the ability to create seamless integrations to enhance overall system functionality. Experience with other cloud-based ERPs, such as Oracle, SAP, Unit4, etc. will also be considered. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a strategic mindset to drive effective solutions that align with institutional goals.

The Workday Integrations and Solutions Architect will report directly to the Director of Workday Solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. System Architecture and Design:

  • Collaborate with institutional stakeholders to understand business requirements and design integrated solutions within the Workday platform.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Workday's technical capabilities and limitations.

2. Integration Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement integrations between Workday and other systems (both internal and external) using Workday Integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, etc.).
  • Ensure data integrity and security in all integration processes.

3. Solution Implementation:

  • Lead the implementation of Workday solutions, ensuring successful deployment and integration with existing systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support during the entire project lifecycle.

4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Registrar, Academic Advising, Financial Aid, Admissions, ITS, and other departments, to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners as needed to deliver integrated solutions.

5. Documentation and Training:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for integrations, configurations, and customizations.
  • Provide support and knowledge transfer to end-users and internal teams as necessary.

6. Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to Workday integrations promptly.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution.

7. Stay Informed on Workday Updates:

  • Keep up-to-date with Workday updates, releases, and new features to leverage the latest capabilities in solution design.
  • Assist with the Workday Release process, including regression and feature adoption testing.

8. Other:

  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field. 
  • At least 3-5 years experience as a ERP Integrations Architect with in-depth knowledge of Workday architecture or a similar ERP. 
  • Strong understanding of Workday business processes and reporting.
  • Proficient in Workday or other Integration tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Studio.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Workday certifications are highly desirable, if no Workday certifications; the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire with training provided.
  • Higher Education experience preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Summer: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
