What you'll do

The Sr. Software Engineer will execute on all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) application. You will primarily leverage the Microsoft technology stack however we also embrace open source technologies such as Redis, Cassandra and Elasticsearch. You enjoy fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You will also help the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggesting ways to make the team more effective, and mentoring and modeling engineering best practices.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Software Engineering.

Responsibility

  • Develop high quality, maintainable code in C# .Net or other object-oriented languages
  • Work in ASP.NET MVC, SQL Databases, HTML and CSS, and JavaScript, as well as Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases
  • Work as part of a passionate, agile development team to deliver engaging web user experiences
  • Work with Project Management and other developers to understand design requirements and provide estimates for development
  • Participate in an Agile environment using Scrum software development practices, automated unit testing, continuous integration, code reviews, version control systems, automated build processes
  • Raise issues proactively that might impact delivery commitments
  • Research new features and technologies
  • Fix production issues and maintain the code as needed
  • Participate in live site reviews and help implement new features and processes to improve site reliability

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • BS degree in CS or EE or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of product development experience building large-scale applications
  • Experience with full stack development, in one or more of OO programming languages like C# or Java
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Experience with git, continuous integration and deployment tools

Preferred

  • Hands-on, professional experience with building and consuming RESTful web-services
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Experience developing web applications with ReactJs and TypeScript
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn and curious about new technologies and tool sets

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $146,800.00 - $235,025.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $139,800.00 - $197,400.00 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $139,800.00 - $207,325.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
