Key job responsibilities

  • Be a strategic leader in creating mechanisms and establishing best practices
  • Create source-of-truth datasets using SQL
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business reporting needs
  • Design, develop, and maintain data visualizations using Amazon Quicksight
  • Improve existing reporting by developing automated solutions and creating actionable insights

About the team

The Consulting and Industry BI team sits within the AWS Partner Intelligence Organization. We specialize in creating source-of-truth reporting and delivering actionable insights for sales operations teams focused on delivering results for a designated list of external consulting partners.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Arlington, VA, USA | Atlanta, GA, USA | Austin, TX, USA | Dallas, TX, USA | Houston, TX, USA | Jersey City, NJ, USA | North Englewood, MD, USA | San Diego, CA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
  • Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutions
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
