Job Description Summary

A Marketing Manager at Wintrust manages routine marketing tasks and executes ad-hoc and local marketing initiatives for our community bank charter, commercial banking, and/or niche banking groups. They are the internal face of the client, interfacing directly with key executive stakeholders to ensure local goal alignment with overarching Wintrust-wide growth strategies while providing best-in-class customer service. Marketing Managers must review inbound marketing requests in a timely manner, proactively suggest the best possible marketing solution to meet stakeholder objectives, and oversee project execution from start to finish.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day routine marketing tasks for clients. Manage internal queue of inbound marketing requests, interpret and clarify objectives, translate objectives into marketing tactics, and oversee project execution from start to finish.
  • Develop close working relationships with key executive stakeholders and become the local charter/group’s marketing expert in order to analyze objectives and provide marketing recommendations to meet goals. Engage with stakeholders by leading regular marketing meetings with charters/groups. 
  • Develop and manage hyper-local or group-specific marketing initiatives on an ad-hoc basis. Oversee the execution of these unique projects from start to finish and take personal accountability for the quality and timeliness of work.
  • Partner with marketing analytics and strategist teams to report on campaign performance through the lens of local charter/group goals. Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders and incorporate feedback into optimizations.

Knowledge/Skills/Background/Experience

  • 3-5 years
  • Preferred in-house marketing experience. Financial industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven history of building and executing integrated, holistic marketing plans and identifying market opportunities as well as working knowledge of evaluating campaign reporting and testing/optimization processes.
  • Digital marketing experience (need someone with familiarity, but doesn't have to have a digital-focused background) and experience working in project management software (such as Workfront) is a plus.
  • Experience managing budgets, P&Ls, etc.
