UCaaS Technical Product Manager - Remote

As we embark on a journey of accelerated growth, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our product management team. This role can be based in either the US or Canada with a preference to the eastern or central time zones.

At Sangoma, our product innovation drives great customer experiences. We are currently looking for a Product Manager to execute the product strategy, roadmap, design, and go-to-market plans. 

Your Role:

  • Will lead all aspects of the product life cycle: user/customer research, product requirements, design, development, testing, release, and post-release. You will own the go to market for your product.
  • Are passionate about products in the UCaaS Market. Have the desire and drive to continuously improve and evolve your product management and marketing practice and will evangelize it at the company.
  • Have a proven track record in managing and successfully executing critical mid/long term projects.
  • Work seamlessly with other teams to fulfill larger product strategy objectives.
  • Possess strong communication skills (engineering-level technical discussions, business-level discussions, sales training, customer and partner engagement).
  • Can travel at least two times per quarter.
  • Have a depth of prior technical experience that garners respect from the people you influence.

Impact You Will Make In The Role:

  • Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Design, document, and present business cases
  • Inspire the team to deliver on product roadmaps, bringing measurable outcomes to the market
  • Implement best-in-class product management practices
  • Leverage market insight, data, and customer feedback to optimize the product suite
  • Develop and monitor product KPIs, metrics, and feedback into the business
  • Analyze market trends and performance-drivers to identify new product and growth opportunities and present product-related updates for different levels in the organization
  • Participate in the creation and evolution of marketing and sales tools
  • Support the sales team with product information, messaging, and positioning
  • Participate in trade shows, demos, customer meetings, and conferences to evangelize our products 

Your Background: 

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Product Management 
  • Experience with UCaaS, Telephony, and PBX products
  • Solid understanding of UCaaS Market - trends, solutions, competitors, etc.
  • Experience building or managing IVR/AA, conferencing, or similar solutions
  • Experience with web-based customer engagement solutions such as WebChat, co-browse, etc.
  • Expertise and experience with one or more of the following technologies - WebRTC, SIP, HTML5, VOIP, IVR, collaboration, APIs, and Enterprise App Integration
  • Prior experience in product management, hands-on technical architecture or system engineering roles.
  • A great presentation style, teamwork, and communication skills are a must
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging analytics to define product direction
  • Strong product management skills, including but not limited to - roadmap, business case, prioritization, negotiation, and obtaining consensus
  • Ability to interact with partners, customers, and staff in a professional and polished manner
  • Experience with product support and field service management
  • Experience in customer relationship management and customer experience management
  • Experience with agile software development 
  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Experience with messaging and collaboration products, highly desired
  • Experience working with geographically distributed team members, highly desired
