We (Fluke) are offering you a very challenging opportunity to join our talented EMEA Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. You will provide key financial analysis for decision-making, to help grow our business. Next to handling some (daily & monthly) recurring tasks, there will be plenty of room to take initiative, learn, and grow.

Responsibilities:

Recurring activities

  • Daily activities are providing insight on bookings, shipments, rebates, margins, and outlook for the month. The standard tasks are mostly automated, but the dynamic nature of Fluke always poses changes and room for continuous improvement. Being part of our FP&A team, you will support our stakeholders with accurate analysis that helps in decision-making.
  • On a monthly basis, the team is focused on forecasting bookings, shipments, and margins, but also explaining the variances of the previous month and how they will impact the (near) future. Once everyone is aligned on the forecast, a very important task will be to load the data into our financial system.
  • Yearly, we work on some extensive projects, like the Plan for the upcoming year, rebate payouts, thorough margin analysis, and price adjustments.

There will also be opportunities to work on interesting and challenging projects e.g. creating new standard work (new processes) or producing interactive dashboards for current standard tasks.

Based on the above-mentioned recurring and ad hoc activities, we support to the business (therewith solving problems and answering queries), challenge ‘facts’, and seek opportunities to increase our sales and margin. A strong business understanding is key to grow in your role and to grow within the company.

Your Team

The EMEA FP&A team is an international and diverse group of currently 8 team players. We all have our specialties and focus areas but there is a lot of interaction and support between each other. We are dynamic and innovative, are used to working with deadlines, but also find the time to have fun.

Experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory. Experience with Power BI, Hyperion, Oracle, and/or Python is preferred.
  • A high potential with a degree in Finance or business-related study and/or some years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in an international (corporate) environment.
  • Proficiency in English.

Personal Skills

  • You have an analytical mindset: you are curious to understand what drives certain evolutions and you are determined to get the correct answers. You have an eagerness to learn!
  • You can handle high volume of data and connect the dots; you keep calm and create an overview by organizing the data in a structured way.
  • You thrive for accuracy (but keep in mind a healthy balance between accuracy and pace).
  • You like to improve and automate processes. In that sense, you are allowed to be slightly lazy.
  • You can (occasionally) work under (time) pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • You recognize structure in a very dynamic environment; you see the bigger picture and you’re able to connect the dots.
  • You feel happy supporting colleagues: although working independently a lot, we like a good team spirit. We help each other achieve great goals.
  • You are open-minded, comfortable providing suggestions, and customer-friendly.

Full-time is preferred, however, 4 days per week with some flexibility from your side (deadlines) is negotiable.

There is a possibility to work hybrid (2 days from home).

While also working some days from the office, we are looking for someone living in (the surroundings of) Eindhoven.
