Who we are:

Reporting to the Sr Manager of CPG Marketing, the Associate Marketing Manager (AMM) will play an integral role on the consumer marketing team to unite and elevate the brand experience across all channels and deliver innovation that efficiently drives revenue growth. The AMM’s primary responsibilities are to plan and execute innovation, as well as brand marketing programs that support the brand across Grocery, Mass and Club.

Responsibilities include the day-to-day execution of innovation, marketing programs, managing packaging projects and analyzing brand & category performance.

Key partners for the AMM will be Innovation, Sales, Comms / PR, Sales Analytics and Insights and the Creative Services teams.

What you will do:

CPG Brand Marketing

  • Support the Sr. Marketing Manager in brand marketing initiatives to support business growth objectives for the Peet’s portfolio of brands.
  • Lead brand, category, and competitive analyses to monitor performance, identify portfolio optimization opportunities and inform prioritization.
  • Track new item performance, partnering with Sales and the Analytics team to present updates on innovation and provide recommendations.
  • Day-to-day project management of innovation items, working closely with Sales Planning, Creative Services and Coffee Team.
  • Manage Peet’s Coffee packaging projects, collaborating with Creative Services and Supply. 
  • Lead launch strategy and marketing programs for new items (including digital, in-store tactics, paid social, partnerships, and sampling), partnering with agencies, PR/Comms and Creative Services.
  • Work closely with Sales and Coffee team in creating compelling sales materials to support sell-in of new items.
  • Manage relationships with partner brands and supporting key initiatives
  • What you will do:
  • 3+ years of CPG Marketing experience BA/BS degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Project management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial, can-do mindset and strong drive for results
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills – experience pulling and analyzing data a must.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, able to take on multiple projects, work against timelines.
  • Must live in the San Francisco Bay Area

Peet’s Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires any Home Office employees to work onsite (Emeryville, CA) 3 days per week with the exception of any fully-remote role.

At Peet’s we hire the best people and are committed to supporting our employees and rewarding them for their work. The target annual base salary range for this position is $68,000-$100,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
