We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineers in Test who want to make an impact in the cybersecurity space by continuing to advance, maintain, and enhance our platform features in application security testing for SAP applications, including the ability to review third-party custom code and transports, and automatic remediation for common code errors.

What you will be doing, your legacy: 

• Collaborating with product management, the development team, and quality assurance to define and implement test automation strategies within an Agile framework.
• Taking ownership of quality and automation practices, ensuring the development of high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
• Working closely with the development team to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our development processes.
• Engaging in continuous learning to stay ahead of the latest trends in test automation for SAP, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team to foster a quality culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, focusing on SAP environments.
• 3+ years of programming experience with ABAP, demonstrating a deep understanding of ABAP development practices and challenges.
• 3+ years of experience in test automation, ideally within SAP frameworks like eCATT or Tricentis Tosca, or with other test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cypress.
• Proficient in SAP transactions for software installation, user and role maintenance, API testing, and RFC setup.
• Commitment to security software development best practices, with an ability to guide and influence the adoption of these practices within the team.
• Experience with tracking and testing tools, including Test Case Management, Project Planning Tools, and Issue Tracking, to support a structured and efficient testing process.

Desired skills or interests in:

• A strong interest in mastering test automation in SAP, driving the development and expansion of an effective automation toolset for SAP native products.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• A proven track record of influencing software engineers' best practices within your team, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Location: Onapsis is establishing a new development center in Bucharest. This is a hybrid role, so candidates must be commutable to Bucharest.
