This is a hybrid position. The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Summary:

To provide system administration and technical support of all Linux platforms with responsibility for delivering reliable, highly available systems. This will include installation, configuration, monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting related systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and complete system administration, and support application projects and tasks as assigned by line management.
  • Deploy Ansible jobs and roles to standardize the environment.
  • Perform installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of environments including the related elements of applications.
  • Perform morning checks and verify environment on a daily basis.
  • Review and clear the job queue (SBM / ServiceNOW).
  • Provide support for developers and business users requests and queries
  • Conduct performance monitoring/tuning, and capacity monitoring/planning for all environments
  • Ensure that all environment backups are performed successfully
  • Run and edit scripts to perform and automate regular administration and housekeeping tasks
  • Liaison with hardware maintenance engineers, 3rd party vendors, business users and IT.
  • Perform and assist with the recovery of any systems and applications in annual disaster recovery tests
  • Be proactive in suggesting how technology can be used to improve/enhance business processes to save costs or provide a competitive edge
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by line management

Skills & Experience:

  • The candidate should have work experience running distributed systems and experience with automated provisioning and management of Red Had Linux infrastructure and services.
  • Experience working with Azure Kubernetes, Podman, and Docker.
  • Excellent experience of Linux Redhat 7 and 8 in a production environment
  • Excellent experience with MQ within a trading environment
  • Excellent practical knowledge of Linux Performance Monitoring and Tuning Utilities and Commands
  • Excellent experience with Redhat integration to Active Directory
  • Good experience with Nutanix and VMWare ESX in a Production environment
  • Good knowledge of NIS and NFS and CIFS
  • Good working knowledge of networking protocols.
  • Experience with ProofPoint SMTP and InfoBlox DNS appliances
  • Experience of Shell Scripting Skills with bash and Perl.
  • Experience working with agile development teams and DevOps
  • Experience with JBoss
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence

The typical base pay range for this role is between $100K - $125K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
