About the role

We are in the early stages of introducing a new core insurance SaaS system tailored for our partner ecosystems. This marks the beginning of a significant development journey, requiring the formation of a dedicated Azure .NET team. Your expertise and contributions will be critical in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure and services.

About the team

As a key Software developer within our dedicated IT group, you will play a crucial role in the rollout of our new core insurance system. Being part of one of several agile teams, you'll contribute to seamless collaboration across diverse technological disciplines, embodying and enhancing a culture of excellence and innovation. Your expertise and proactive involvement will be key in navigating the complexities of our expansive program. Together, we will leverage agile practices to achieve outstanding outcomes, with your development work directly influencing the success and efficiency of our solutions.

What are you going to do?

• Designing, developing, and deploying robust applications with a focus on .NET and Azure
• Implementing software modelling and simulation to predict system behaviour and optimize application performance
• Planning, developing, and executing software system testing strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions
• Regularly reviewing and enhancing existing systems, focusing on areas for modification and improvement to maintain the system's adaptability and responsiveness
• Documenting all processes, including coding and testing procedures, to ensure the continuity and efficiency of the team
• Providing written knowledge transfer material to support team learning and development

Ensuring adherence to quality standards in all stages of the software development process, from design to deployment

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for a driven professional with a passion for technology, especially for Microsoft Azure and the modern .NET stack. You are solution-oriented, and proactive, and enjoy working in a team environment. Your analytical mindset, coupled with your ability to communicate complex technical matters in a clear and simple way, makes you stand out.

You must have:

• At least 5 years’ experience in the software development
• Extensive experience with Microsoft .NET technologies, C# and Azure platform
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and a deep understanding of modern Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience with DevOps principles and related technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, good written and spoken English.
• Understanding of software quality and performance optimization
• Experience with version control systems, specifically Git

Good to have:

• A degree in tech-related fields beneficial
• Experience with front-end technologies like Angular, React, or Vue.js
• Understanding of secure coding practices, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and JWT for implementing authentication and authorization.
• Experience developing and designing APIs with high availability and with a performance improvement mindset
