Minimum Qualifications 

1. Must be in good academic standing

2. Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher appropriate to the area of service

3. Be registered full-time for the respective semester – nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.

Duties include, but are not limited to, providing feedback and/or grading student work; monitoring course activities; holding regular office hours according to departmental guidelines; attend professional development meetings prior to and during the semester; report student progress and grades to Instructors of Record.

Discipline Specific Required QualificationsThe Teaching Assistant position is available to full-time graduate students with 18 hours of graduate English coursework prior to Fall 2024.

Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to students in the MA English program on the Literatures & Cultural Studies track.
