Your impact 

As the Senior Information Security Analyst, you will occupy a critical role within Intelsat to manage the cybersecurity stance of your assigned environments and applications. Whether incident response, vulnerability management, risk management or application penetration testing you will engage and lead cross functional teams to perform as expected by audit frameworks like PCI, ISO, and Intelsat corporate standards. 

What you will do 

  • Ensure compliance with PCI, ISO and Intelsat Information Security Policy for the Intelsat environment and associated applications.
  • Help orchestrate tabletop exercises.
  • Facilitate metrics for the Information Assurance team to support continuous monitoring requirements for the Intelsat environments and associated applications. Continuously work on security metrics delivery and improvements
  • Lead, conduct or contribute to security projects and research work as needed within the Intelsat environments.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, operational security measures, current and emerging secure application technologies/products/trends.
  • Oversee vulnerability/risk assessment analyses for the Intelsat environments to support Intelsat’s overall Vulnerability Management Program. 
  • Perform application security assessments/reviews with applicable tools.
  • Support third-party penetration testing scheduling and remediation efforts.
  • Meet with technology owners regularly to ensure full visibility and understanding of open security vulnerabilities and the risks inherent with those vulnerabilities.
  • Communicate findings, remediation guidance, and security design patterns to multiple teams.

Your required experience/skills

  • Four-year college degree in a technical field of study or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical information security experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and PCI and ISO requirements.
  • Experience developing, editing, and auditing cyber security policies, plans, and procedures. 
  • Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, security configuration checks, and system configuration scans to meet Cyber Security requirements.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and technologies to provide recommendations on the protection of sensitive data.
  • Understand risk and remediation strategies for complex application infrastructures.
  • This role is subject to ITAR/EAR; candidates must be a US Person (this includes US Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Individual such as an asylee or refugee).

Your success in this role will look like: 

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to provide technical direction and prioritize tasks. 
  • Problem determination, isolation, and resolution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong and consistent documentation skills.

It would be nice if you had: 

  • One or more of the following security certifications: Security+, CEH, CYSA+, GCIA, GSEC, GCIA, GMON and GCDA
  • Participates in the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise security architecture.
  • Prior Network or IT systems engineering experience. 
  • Proficient at any scripting languages.
