Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a Computer Support Technician Lead to support a pending contract award in Haiti. This position will be based remote, but will travel to Haiti as needed to support this contract.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Computer Support Technician (CST) Lead will support program leadership in accomplishing Amentum contractual requirements successfully for the LOGCAP contract. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Perform and lead support to ensure PC / networking environment is functioning at the highest leve possible. This includes installations, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting for stand-alone PCs, PCs linked to networks, printers and other peripherals. 
  • Support will also include software installation and configurations.
  • Performs technical, operational, and training support to users of workstations either by telephone, or on-site for PC desktop hardware and software. Functions will include, but not be limited to:
  • Installing and testing workstations, printers, and other peripherals
  • Configuring operating systems
  • Loading shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs
  • Performing hardware and software diagnostics, coordinating repairs, resolve computer system problems
  • Troubleshooting any other computer and peripheral / network-related issues
  • May assist IT Manager in other duties such as database, server and network design / set-up / troubleshooting.

The CST Lead shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role (military installation / government contract / OCONUS work experience in this role highly desired) installing, testing, troubleshooting and repairing workstations, software and hardware
  • Experience in SQL programming, Servers and Directories highly desired
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Highly organized, able to meet deadlines and manage shifting priorities
  • High degree of personal integrity; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to function in an office setting, answer the phone, use office equipment, etc.
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid US or local driver's license and US passport
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment as required
  • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience providing excellent customer service in supporting contract responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules and under pressure of deadlines while maintaining performance standards

EDUCATION

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
