Senior Project Professional
What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is looking for multiple Senior Project Professionals for our Duluth, GA team to perform various activities related to environmental consulting.
How you can make an impact
- The Sr. Project Professional is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating project and major task assignments, and for maintaining liaison with clients, regulators, and stake holders.
- The position is a technical lead position and requires thorough understanding of applicable regulations and involves regular interaction with other offices and national leaders to provide better technical solutions.
- The Sr. Project Professional is also responsible for mentoring and supporting direct reports or lower-level staff to help them grow technically and professionally.
- The extent of the Sr. Project Professional’s responsibilities generally requires several subordinate supervisors or task leaders. Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage or direct a number of important projects or a project of major scope and importance; perform and lead technical tasks for field work, data collection, construction, and design.
- Development of subordinate staff’s professional and technical growth via employee evaluations, development of individual specific training for staff, assessment of staff progress, and guidance and recommendations for helping to achieve direct chargeability goals set for staff
- Administrative duties include development of project manpower projections, billing projections, invoicing, accounts receivable management, and general business development for the position’s topic area.
- Evaluate progress of staff and results obtained and recommend changes to achieve the company’s overall objectives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Environmental Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the following:
- Landfill gas system design and preparation of design documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, and permit requirements.
- Working with county and state regulations related to landfill and landfill gas systems; solid waste permitting; landfill gas system oversight.
- Technical report writing.
- Alternatively, the employer will also accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Environmental Engineering or related field, and 5 years of experience in the above-referenced experience.
- Ability to work from home 1 day per week; must live within commuting distance of office.
- Approximately 5-10% domestic U.S. travel required.

Pay range for this position is $115,690K to $125K/year depending on experience and location. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
