As a Compliance Monitoring Officer in the Legal & Compliance (L&C) function you will be responsible for supporting the International Compliance Director and the Compliance Monitoring Manager with key projects and daily task management for the International businesses, specifically in relation to Entain’s Compliance Monitoring function as part of a wider Compliance Management System. You will be responsible for supporting the compliance team specifically in monitoring compliance with International gambling regulations. This includes monitoring processes and procedures designed to meet all compliance requirements across multiple business areas. You will be responsible for conducting compliance monitoring activities based on a designed plan of action, maintaining and updating records, producing periodic reporting based on the monitoring activity and liaising with other stakeholders across the business in order to support ongoing projects.

The role will involve working closely with the International Compliance teams as well as business and commercial teams across the Group to ensure processes and procedures are followed, policy documents are updated, and accurate records are maintained.

You will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of the Compliance and Regulatory landscape and have the capability to identify areas of non-compliance and report accordingly.

You will be asked to contribute to the continuous improvement of L&C processes to support more effective, efficient delivery of L&C initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Compliance Monitoring Manager and other Compliance Monitoring Officers to support the Compliance Monitoring function.
  • Conduct relevant activities in relation to the Compliance Monitoring plan.
  • Maintain accurate records of reviews conducted and deliver results and analysis to the Compliance Monitoring Manager.
  • Highlight instances of non-compliance as part of the monitoring process and record actions and decisions taken.
  • Keep track of due dates, actions and required timelines to ensure timely completion of requirements.

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

  • An independent, motivated, self-starter.
  • Excellent knowledge of international gambling compliance and regulatory environments.
  • At least two years of compliance and regulatory experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Internal Audit and Risk Management methodology desirable.
  • Compliance qualification and equivalent related work experience desired.
  • Demonstrated experience in prior roles within a regulated industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to deliver messages clearly and confidently at all levels in the English language; additional languages are highly desirable.
  • A team player who shows respect and values the views of others.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach, always willing to support various areas of team workload and prioritize accordingly.
