Scrum Test Technical Lead

Mission of the Role: Leads integration efforts for multiple software projects with varying degrees of complexity / priorities. Undertakes integration activities using appropriate tools and framework, right level of automation, scrum and agile practices. Establishes tactical plans, collaborates across functions to improve efficiency and predictability in software integration. Provides technical road map and day-to-day technical leadership to the integration scrum teams. Responsible for capability building of scrum team members with their knowledge and expertise.

Key Objectives of this Role:

Leads efforts in developing a technology roadmap with knowledge across domains and software integration. Collaborates across functions, leads integration efforts and liaises with integration leads. Mentors and coaches team members on agile standards and best practices.

Providing Technical Leadership

  • Establishes technical roadmap and provides day-to-day technical leadership to integration scrum teams with their subject expertise.
  • Offers technical expertise and guides technical teams to ensure high quality deliverables across data and integration environments.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry trends and developments.

Leading and implementing improvement opportunities to existing methodologies

  • Ensures that the integration solutions can be delivered, deployed and operated in a highly repeatable and predictable manner with the concept of DevOps.
  • Supports continuous builds and integration environments.
  • Ensures process documents / artefacts are maintained and continuously improved (by analysing systemic issues) to enable efficient execution
  • Leads integration excellence efforts in line with QCD (quality, cost and delivery) norms for the scope of the scrum team.

Scrum planning / Coaching scrum team members (including sprint planning)

  • Drives sprint planning, team capacity planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, automation and management of defects. Trains, mentors / coaches scrum team members (to ensure integration teams are practicing agile principles).

Identifying and managing project risks

  • Manages multiple projects with schedule and budgetary constraints involving cross-functional teams.
  • Partners with project managers and integration leads for the delivery of work product and escalates any key risks that would impede effectiveness.
  • Proactively develops plans to anticipate risks and address them by leading issue resolution from the front.

Collaboration with internal teams

  • Serves as the single point of contact for project managers and integration leads.
  • Collaborates with scrum development teams, while testing, software integration and release.
  • Participates in work product reviews to ensure quality and collaboration across teams.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

  • University degree in the area of Computer Systems, Electronics, Automation, Information Technologies and/ or relevant equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of software development experience, Agile methodologies (Scrum)
  • Experience in working with Jenkins, Docker, JFrog Artifactory
  • Experience with Python and Java AUTOSPICE experience
  • Experience in Automation scripts design and development
  • Experience in integration strategy definition and pipeline definition is a plus
  • Experience in embedded software development in C or C++ is a plus
  • Good Project and People management skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English
