PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Retail Sales Manager provides leadership in managing and administering the sale of the company's retail products from retail plants. This position involves developing and executing a portion of the company's marketing plan for retail sales products, which includes selling, pricing, collecting, and ensuring competitive sales returns are in line with Agristats metrics.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: 

  • Develops customers and plans to provide the most profitable product mix for the

retail plants.

  • Works with immediate subordinates to sell and price all retail products.
  • Prepares and presents programs and proposals to customers. Assists Sales Managers to do the same.
  • Solves problems, negotiates adjustments, and collects payments within terms.
  • Works closely with Sales Managers, the Coordination Department, and the
  • Customer Service Departments to provide excellent customer service. Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culture
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None. This is an individual contributor role with required competencies: Functional/Technical Skills, Action Oriented, Problem Solving, Learning on the Fly, and Interpersonal Savvy

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Five years management and/or sales experience in poultry or equivalent experience.
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred
  • Ability to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring confidential information is relayed only on a need-to-know basis
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detail
  • Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
  • Wear required protective equipment in all areas were mandatory

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend and/or extended) as business need requires
  • Ability to work in cold/ humid or hot/ dusty environments as needed
