In this context of growth, Ledger is seeking to reinforce its Data Protection Office (which is part of the legal department), in order to ensure compliance with privacy regulations around the world.

As Data Protection Legal Counsel, you will report to the Group Data Protection Officer and be part of a team composed of dynamic and talented lawyers from different backgrounds and various industries. You will be exposed to cutting edge legal and policy topics in the rapidly evolving blockchain and crypto industry, where the story is yet to be written.

Your main responsibilities will be the following :

  • You will participate in the definition and the implementation of the group’s privacy compliance program for all B2C and B2B products and services.
  • You will lead contract negotiations on privacy clauses.
  • You will maintain the mapping of all internal and external data flows with our multiple service providers in order to identify risks and take mitigation measures.
  • You will support 3rd Party Risk management processes operations: on-boarding, periodic review & off-boarding (overall lifecycle of provider).
  • You will contribute to the development of internal tools and to the improvement of existing processes.
  • You will support the group’s teams and answer their questions regarding personal data (e-commerce, B2B, HR, back office, marketing, customer support…).
  • You will draft any process, template and guideline necessary to improve Ledger privacy practices.
  • You will supervise the processing of customer and employee data requests and contribute to its automation.
  • You will raise privacy awareness among Ledger employees and will develop our Privacy & Security Champions network.
  • You will manage potential pre-litigation and litigation portfolios.
  • You will ensure a technological and legal watch to anticipate future regulations and uses of personal data.
  • Good knowledge of privacy regulations, including GDPR
  • At least 5 years of proven track record in data protection.
  • Strong organizational, documentation and program management skills.
  • Very rigorous, pragmatic and business oriented.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • At ease in a fast pace and innovative environment.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the crypto industry is a plus but not required.
