The Manager, Product Marketing manages and provides leadership over the product life cycle of the assigned Home Appliance Division (HAD) product portfolio, from introduction to end-of-life, providing strategic direction to achieve the desired sales results. This role supports the Senior Manager, Product Marketing and acts as a subject-matter expert on the products, leveraging industry knowledge to shape the marketing strategy. Through careful monitoring of sales & marketing results, this role supports and helps craft action plans to increase sales and deliver the product value proposition to both internal and external stakeholders. This role works with all levels of the organization to drive marketing efforts and optimize performance, working closely with the HAD team, the Senior Product Manager and Brother Industries Limited.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


Product Marketing Management

  • Manage the assigned portfolio product lifecycle, from introduction to end of-life of the product, prioritizing the target audience and segments
  • Provide input and direction on new product (market and customer) requirements to achieve company revenue, profit, and market share targets
  • Coordinate budgets, product placement strategies, and pricing structures as set forth by the Senior Product Manager
  • Act as subject-matter expert on assigned portfolio and customers (channel partners and end users) to drive optimum marketing results

Product Value Proposition & New Accessory Program Development

  • Develop the strategy for Accessory Programs and provide direction to Senior Product Manager to ensure successful execution of product launches and program mapping
  • Strategize, evaluate, and build the framework of new business
  • models/new programs for accessory and software sales, prioritizing the target audience and segments
  • Partner with internal and external business partners to analyze and understand customer needs and identify program/product gaps to develop long-term program goals
  • Set direction for Customer Experience that will encourage fast consumer adoption of our Accessory Programs

Product Marketing Strategy

  • Executes on strategic direction for the associated category with the goal of increasing marketability and maximizing sales
  • Ensure all customer touchpoints are in line with the business and product strategy
  • Understand sales trends and identify opportunities to grow the business
  • Monitor satisfaction for core products to grow business and improve profitability
  • Support Senior Product Manager in developing the promo strategy, along with channel services

Forecasting, Analytics & Reporting

  • Work in collaboration with the Senior Product Manager to set KPIs and monitor monthly sales results/forecasts to achieve budget goals
  • Proactively evaluate analyze assigned segments for all classes of trade, providing insight and recommendations to the business
  • Participate in regular forecast meetings with sales teams on all assigned segments
  • Develop and execute on action plans to course correct, if necessary
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to report on performance, insights, and optimizations on a periodic basis to all levels of the organization


ABOUT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience spanning the following areas:
  • Product Marketing management experience with consumer products
  • Experience sourcing new products
  • Project Management Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in craft industry with a retailer or manufacturer – Preferred

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Ability to analyze sales metrics
  • Ability to merchandise product and create planograms – Preferred


ADDITIONAL DETAILS FOR THIS ROLE


This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers. #LI-Hybrid

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 per year
  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
  • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
