Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Technical Integrator role to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

In this role as the Technical Integrator, you will work with Systems Engineering Leads, Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) Managers, Technical Team Responsible Engineers, System Test representatives, and any other stakeholders to meet program milestones, manage the technical baseline, and ensure a seamless implementation of new capabilities. You will coordinate the alignment between short and long term IFC deliveries, and the associated Testing needs to continue to deliver products. The alignment of implementation plans and the forecasting of IFCs to be able to support testing in these configurations, will be a major duty for this role.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Maintaining detailed forecasting of upcoming test plans
  • Being knowledgeable of the anticipated configuration of the test assets
  • Gaining full understanding of what IFC capabilities are required to complete tests successfully
  • Close coordination with the IFC Managers to ensure alignment between the Hardware / Software configuration that is certified in the IFC and the configuration of the system under test.
  • Manage configuration changes that get approved via Change Requests
  • Track the execution of implementation plans

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics STEM) discipline and 9 years of relevant military / professional experience in Systems Engineering OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of relevant military / professional experience in Systems Engineering OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and 4 years of relevant military / professional experience in Systems Engineering
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to start of employment
  • Must have experience in managing the implementation of multi-disciplinary projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering, IFC, System Test and Configuration Management processes and products.
  • Experience in managing the Systems Engineering technical baselines.
  • Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering.
  • Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
  • Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.

Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $199,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
