Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in all requirements and design discussions.
  • Work along with development team to prioritize and develop identified features/modules
  • Perform Unit tests and Code Reviews.
  • Follow technical directions from leads.
  • Follow the Development & Process Standards.
  • Own delivery for items aligned to the individual.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of components developed.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting code and applications.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

Technical Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years as a programmer/analyst using COBOL/CICS in a mainframe VSAM environment.
  • Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) claims processing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in COBOL, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, IBM Utilities, File Master, Endeavor
  • Hands-on experience in translating design into high quality software code and performs testing and debugging.
  • Using COBOL programming language and associated technologies, writes online and batch code, completes programming, and performs testing.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of programming experience in COBOL/CICS/VASM. Master’s degree is desired but not required.
