Cadence is looking for Field Sales Director to drive its CFD offering across Automotive, Aerospace, Marine, High-Tech, Data center and Industrial equipment markets. Cadence CFD offers a combination of state-of-the-art vertical solutions across rotating machinery, naval, external aerodynamics, acoustics and electronics cooling encompassing multi-physics, combined with a robust geometry to results process on a platform that leverages Design Optimization and Machine Learning. Furthermore the portfolio boasts a unique Digital Twin solution for the data center market.

In this Sales Director role you will be working with Cadence SST CFD and Product Management to develop and execute a business strategy to grow Cadence CFD Business in Japan for the next 3-5 years. You will take responsibility to manage and extend a team of Sales Executives, to address the needs of Japan’s CFD and Thermal market in various industries, including Automotive & Industrial equipment as well as the High-tech and Data Centers markets, and leveraging Cadence leadership in Electronics within all industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing CFD Sales team, identify areas of growth and build a team to drive Sales with solid and consistent YoY growth
  • Take personal responsibilities with key strategic accounts. Develop win-win relationships in a mutual collaborative environment at executive level
  • Implement Solution Selling and Strategic Selling methodology within the Sales team
  • Establish effective methodology to Identify prospective companies and connect with the right decision makers as well as Conduct discovery sessions and Identify challenges and opportunities where Cadence CFD can help solve
  • Learn and understand of individual prospects, customer goals groups requirements
  • Work with field technical team to deliver solutions specific to each prospect and customer
  • Build client relationships and become “trusted advisor”
  • Demonstrate value of Cadence CFD solution, negotiate and close business

Skills and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related
  • 10+ years of Technical Sales experience in Japan, preferably in CFD or CAE solutions.
  • Track record of success managing a team of Sales Executives
  • Previous experience building customer relationships with successful track record of achieving personal and regional revenue targets YoY.
  • Ability to leverage skills and knowledge of people around you
  • Demonstrated ability to solution selling
  • Understand and strategize based on the competitive landscape
  • Excellent communication skills – oral, written and presentation
  • Languages: Japanese native, English fluent
